This week at Hare Krishna Valley, we concentrated on harvesting the crop of zucchinis which is nearing the end of its season. We transported another 70 crates of organic zucchinis to local markets in Geelong, and we took the excess to our Gopals Vegetarian Restaurant in Swanston Street, Melbourne.
On Sunday I came to Melbourne Temple to organise the celebration of the disappearance day of my Guru from this world. In our tradition, we celebrate the birth and departure of a great soul equally, understanding that they come into this world to impart divine knowledge, and leave this world to continue their teachings in another place. The festival was spiritually enlivening, and appreciated by the 100 devotees who attended.
