Last week at Hare Krishna Valley we were asked by the TAFE college at Warnambool, deep in south west Victoria, to provide a vegetarian lunch for around 100 students and staff members. After rising early and preparing the meal of Thai Vegetables in coconut sauce, rice, papadams and halva, we travelled 2 hours to serve the eagerly awaiting crowd. They responded enthusiastically to the meal which had first been offered to Lord Krishna and insisted that we come back next year with another delicious lunch.
On Sunday we travelled to Melbourne Temple to celebrate Gaura Purnima, the appearance day of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, the incarnation of Krishna who appeared in Mayapur, West Bengal, 525 years ago to inaugurate the chanting of the Hare Krishna Maha-mantra. I went out with the local Melbourne devotees to chant for 2 hours at South Bank for the pleasure of the many onlookers.
We look forward to speaking to you again next week.
Until then, I remain yours in the service of Srila Prabhupada.
Keshava Dasa.
